Ergonomic Operator Consoles with no wiring!
Since 1986, EIE has been developing custom operator consoles, either networked or point-to-point. To date, more than 1,500 process control consoles have been manufactured and installed worldwide.
These products, defined according to customer requirements, are often used as a complement to supervisory systems to provide manual override functions or instant actions in fast processes (no need to change screen pages or search for the mouse cursor).
They can also replace bulky PC keyboards, displaying only the required control keys.
The technology used for these operator consoles allows single-unit production or very small series manufacturing without prohibitive tooling costs.
The high-quality controls (Swiss manufactured) are robust, flush-mounted, and feature a positive “click” action.
Mounted on a stainless steel or aluminium front panel, they are easily interchangeable.
Protection rating: IP65.
As standard, customers can choose between two formats:
- 24 x 24 mm
- 24 x 30 mm

- Elimination of remote I/O modules
- No installation or wiring of control devices
- No wiring diagrams required
- Easier factory acceptance testing: temporary I/O wiring is not required to simulate controls during testing

- Significant space saving due to the absence of remote inputs/outputs
- Excellent reliability: only one or two electronic boards are required to manage all control devices (up to 512 units) instead of large quantities of remote I/O modules
- Additional reliability improvement due to the absence of wiring inside the console
- Spare control elements can be provided, allowing easy process modifications
